Dual-function Ingredient with
Bifidogenic Factor + Water-soluble Dietary Fiber
What is FOS?
Fructo-oligosaccharides(FOS) are functional oligosaccharides with a degree of polymerization ranging from 2 to 9, produced from sucrose through enzymatic conversion using fructosyltransferase. The fructosyl units are linked by β(2→1) glycosidic bonds. They are not digested or absorbed by the human body but reach the large intestine directly, where they act as a probiotic growth factor that rapidly promotes the proliferation of bifidobacteria. At the same time, they exhibit the physiological properties of water-soluble dietary fiber.
